The Ministry of Health and Social Services says it could save Namibia over N$221 million a year by buying medicines directly from international manufacturers, cutting out middlemen. Health minister Esperance Luvindao has announced that emergency procurement measures are already underway to tackle ongoing medicine shortages and secure better value for public funds.
