We turn our attention to the devastating wildfire that has been raging through Etosha National Park since Monday. Over a thousand hectares of land, including parts of a nearby farm, have already been destroyed. While no human or wildlife casualties have been reported so far, the blaze continues to spread rapidly, fueled by strong winds and dry vegetation. On the ground, however, questions are being raised about the handling of this crisis particularly the decision to restrict outside assistance, even as the fire threatens more land and wildlife.
