Tensions rose this morning as the Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture addressed concerned community members and protestors at Auas Primary School.

Community members, who gathered at the school to protest, voiced strong opposition to the alleged removal of Khoekhoegowab from the curriculum.

“When the school takes our language, it takes away our identity,” they said.
