Dr. John Njue: Teenagers with Screens
As we mark Children’s World Mental Health Day 2025, today’s focus is one that resonates deeply with parents, educators, and young people alike — Teenagers with Screens. From smartphones to tablets, screens are an inseparable part of modern teenage life. But as screen time skyrockets, so do questions about its impact on young minds — from sleep patterns and attention spans to anxiety, social pressures, and mental wellbeing.
To help us unpack these issues, I’m joined by Dr. John Njue, Head of the Department of Psychology at Triumphant College. We’ll be exploring how screens are shaping teenagers’ mental health and what parents, educators, and teens themselves can do to build healthier habits.
