Namibia’s new administration under President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has placed agriculture at the centre of its agenda, pledging to reduce food imports by 80% and revive state-run green schemes.
With N$561 million allocated towards agricultural infrastructure, irrigation upgrades, and agro-processing, the focus is particularly strong on the northern regions, where projects like Etunda, Ndonga-Linena, Sikondo, and Shadikongoro are being revitalized,to unpack the progress and challenges ahead, we’re joined by agricultural expert Dobson Kawala.
