Community activist on lead exposure in Rosh Pinah

Families living near the Rosh Pinah Zinc mine – featured on Thursday’s front page of The Namibian – are battling severe health problems, including kidney issues and children collapsing, amid fears of lead exposure.

While the mining company has provided health inspections and protective measures for its direct employees, community leaders emphasise that the broader township and unemployed residents living near the site are left unprotected. Desert FM spoke to community activist
