Namibia is mourning, again. The brutal rape and suspected murder of 35-year-old mother of four, Delysia Garoes, in a Katutura riverbed has shocked the nation and reignited deep anger over the safety of women and children.
Despite calls for reform and protection, violent crimes against women continue in our homes, on our streets, near our schools—and still, there are no answers. As police investigations continue, the community demands accountability, justice, and urgent action.
Joining us is Brigit Loots, National Coordinator at Sister Namibia, to talk about what this tragedy reveals about the state of gender justice in Namibia today and what must be done.
