Young people across southern Africa are finding it harder to stand on their own feet as living costs soar while salaries stagnate.A new South African report shows Gen Z graduates earn nearly the same as people did 20 years ago, despite the cost of living having tripled.In Namibia, it’s a similar story, with the average rent now topping N$7 300 per month, leaving many young people unable to afford living on their own.
Desert FM spoke to Lisse Daniel, the congress speaker of parliament at the University of Namibia, about what this means for Namibia’s youth.
