• How would you describe your on-air style to someone who’s never heard you before? A mix of maturity and dry humour with the intention to inform at all times.
• What’s the most memorable moment you’ve had while on air? Interviewing former Botswana president Ian Khama in a very honest and frank dialogue on his politics including the state of Botswana.)
• How do you stay connected to our listeners? What’s the best feedback you’ve received from them? I stay connected with listeners through personal interactions on WhatsApp or f2f. The best feedback I’ve received was from a listener who told me their son knows all my links because they listen to me every morning
• What are some of the things you’re passionate about? Reading, sport, music, travelling and family time. I’ve recently become obsessed with learning more on the minerals and AI space
• What’s a song or genre of music that you always go back to, no matter how many times you’ve heard it? Tuscan Leather – Drake, Jackson Five – Happy, TKZee – Shibobo
• Who’s that one band or artist that always features on your personal playlist? Why? Drake. He’s generational.
• How do you stay on top of the latest trends in music? I’ll have to be honest, I don’t keep up much with the latest music trends but my streaming app and Tik Tok always recommend most of the latest stuff that I might like.
• What do you think makes Desert FM unique? Our content. Desert FM has the best current, well rationed and relevant content. I think we deliver an exceptional product, considering the resources that most media houses in this country face.
• What makes a great radio show or broadcast? Amazing voices, quality sound, informed broadcasters and great discussions.
