Body of newborn baby found at Walvis Bay

The body of a newborn baby was discovered by municipal workers at Walvis Bay on Monday.
Erongo police spokesperson warrant officer Tuyenikelao Tashiya says it is alleged that the workers discovered the body in a drain at about 12h30 at Kuisebmond.
They reported the matter to the police, who first transported the body to Walvis Bay State Hospital for certification and then to the police mortuary for storage and a post-mortem.
No arrest has been made and police investigations are ongoing.
