Star for Life Launches AIDS-Free Campaign in Windhoek
August 12, 2026
Star for Life Namibia has launched an AIDS-Free Campaign aimed at strengthening HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention among young people.
The school-based programme will be implemented in 12 schools in the Khomas Region, providing HIV awareness, peer-led discussions, counselling, referrals and hygiene kits for vulnerable learners.
Country Director Isabel Mendes-Siyamb says the campaign was introduced partly in response to international funding cuts, which have reduced the number of organisations providing health services in schools.
