Ndeshihafela Larandja on the death of two minors in the One Nation informal settlement

A heartbreaking fire swept through a home in Windhoek’s One Nation informal settlement on Saturday night, claiming the lives of two young siblings. The victims have been identified as Elias Jonathan Ndapoitwa, aged six, and four-year-old Laimi Penohamba Ndapoitwa.
The fire completely gutted the family’s shack, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
In the wake of the tragedy, Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare, Windhoek Mayor Ndeshihafela Larandja, and other officials visited the grieving family to offer condolences and show solidarity.
